Heartsaver First Aid
Course Description
Heartsaver First Aid is a classroom course that is designed to meet OSHA regulations. The course teaches basic first aid skills such as:
• Stopping bleeding that can be seen
• Helping someone with a possible broken bone or sprain
• Making sure the scene is safe
Course Length: Approximately 2 hours
Intended Audience:
• Designated first responders
• Individuals needing credentialed training for job or regulatory requirements
• Select departments or an entire workplace
Certification
The American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid Course Completion Card is valid for two years.
During the course, an AHA Instructor conducts video-based lessons and works with students to complete their first aid skills practice.
Book is required by AHA Standards. Current book must be available to the student before, during and after the course. If you do not have a current book or have access to one through your employer JERD can supply you with a book. If you choose to purchase a book the cost will be the student's responsibility.
