Inspections

JERD has two full time staff persnonnel which are trained and certified as Child Passenger Safety Seat Technicians.  Ryan Fertig and Rachel Boehnlein completed the Safe Kids Child Passenger Safety Seat Course, practicle and written exams and are nationally certified techinicians.  If you are interested in having a child safety seat installed or inspected please call Ryan or Rachel to schedule an appointment. 

Inspections and installations can be completed on rear and forward facing car seats and booster seats.  These highly trained technicians can assist you assuring your children are safe while traveling in your vehicles.  They will review the proper safety requirements for the seat and the children using them.  They can assist you in finding the best seating arraingments for your family based on your vehicle and the needs of your family.  They can assist in making sure that your children are using the correct seat based on their age, weight and height. 

If you are interested in having your child's safety seat or booster seat inspected please call to make an appointment with Ryan or Rachel.  Please have your name, a number you can be reached at and the best time of day to be called, the number of children you have, their ages and the type of vehicle you have.  We highly recommend that you bring with you the day of your inspection the vehicle owener's manual and the child seat manual (if they are still available to you).  Children do not have to be present for the inspection but are welcome to come with you.  

There is no charge for installations or inspections we believe every child should be safe in their vehicle.  If you wish to make a donation to our safety seat program we would greatly appreciate it.  All donations will be used strictly for aiding the child safety seat program!
