Membership Information

For a minimum donation of $20.00 you and the family members at your address can be enrolled in our membership program.  Our membership entitles you and the family members at your address to EMERGENCY ambulance services at no out of pocket expense.  Funds raised from the membership program are used to assist the district in providing training and equipment in continuing to provide the most advanced, professional emergency medical care possible.

If you enroll in our membership program and have insurance whatever the remaining balance owed, not covered by your insurance, you will not be responsible for.  If you do not have insurance and are enrolled in our membership program you will not be responsible for paying any fees associated with the emergency ambulance services recieved.  If you choose to not take part in our membership program you will be held responsible for emergency services provided at our regular fee schedule. 

The membership program is optional but is something that is highly recommended by our department!  You never know when an emergency may arise in your household and emergency services may be needed.  Please remember that the minimal donation covers all members living at the address.  This type of membership service is viewed by many of our residents as an "additional insurance policy" for their family. 

Please rest assured that JERD and it's crews are concerned with your healthy and well being as our priority.  Regardless of your membership status and/or financial status you and your family will be treated with the most prompt, advanced and professional emergency medical care available.  Please do not hesitate to call 9-1-1 in an emergency based on a concern regarding finances.  JERD offers emergency medical services, without discrimination, to anyone requesting our services.  No prepayment or insurance information is needed for our services.

Our memberships are renewed each calender year begining in January.  Membership forms are mailed to each household in Jefferson Village and Jefferson Township at the end of each calender year.  If you do not recieve a form in the mail and are interested in this service please contact us at anytime.    If you are new to the area or are just hearing of our membership program please call us or stop by our station to enroll.  You can reach us at 440-576-4367.
